1. Using Ipad to record

Well, what can i say,

we must upload our progress on this typepad thingy.

I really like vox better, much easier and stuff... but oh well

anway today Sam told me to use Ipad to record sounds not the laptop.

Man~ gutted!!!

I was all ready and stuff cause i recorded my church stuff. but oh well.. guess i have to start again kk

anyway I recorded few good stuff, people singing on the corridor and i eve got sam singing as well.

but I think if i use that...i will get like C- or something... Lol

ah~ i just want this assignment to be over,

by the way I did use IPAD!!! with Quickvoice App.!!!

Yeah, it was great our whole band came and even jake came along to listen to our songs~

kk i hope he is not stealing our ideas. LOL

all the songs were performed and practiced, it was really nice, we even kind of made remix of the come on girl song

yeah it was a fun day~ kk

and also i picked the ipod as well!  and i returned it to the owner,

 yep~ once again I saved the days!

again we had to kind of play the same riff all over and over,kk

i hope we get the colin's song ready aye, it really is a good music, but the time change is so hard..

thanks to Rachael. we kind of developed our songs more further, like in structure and stuff.

I liked our atmosphere that day as well, everyone was happy~ kk

yeah, today, i came early! haha

yeah we practice lots of songs today.

Stay, unforseen something i can't rememeber...and blue song and Colin's song.

we just having little difficulty with colin's song, because it's very complicated(in a good way)

and also we need to ask Chris to have a look at out blue like song, because it's too repeating i recon.

anyway i hope we get these songs done as soon as possible!!!

well, I don;t know, but it seems everyone was kind of not in the mood.. lol not sure why..kk

anyway we kind of sort out the Colin's song. very difficult chords! I like it!

I always hear and make those simple hiphop beats with 4 chord or maybe 2 chords repeat progression.

But man... what a change and challenge. By the way I must note to myself to bring my MIDI or Sax for the next practice.

Man, I got there really late...coz i was sick, but managed to get there lol like 40 min to finish up. lol

I heard that Colin came up with mean song, so i held on to him and ask him to briefly the song for me.

took me 20 min to understand the chord progressions and atmosphere, Thanks Colin~

man, i had worst hang over... but lol our group managed to nail one new song,
well it was not new song, because Hannah played that on Tuesday at the unmonitored session.
i was on the key as usual playing block of chords, man i wish I could turn every music into hiphop...lol

but oh well~

Well it was cool how we came up with structure of the songs, my song - stay and butterfly by Alisha.

And Chris was really late to show up this time. lol

guess we can work on Monique's song and Andrews later on, i hope i can play saxophone well.. lol

Reflection on Collaberative performance!!

Overall i think it was okay.

Our group features Abby, Luma, Scott, Daniel,Talini and Me(Thomas)

Glenda's got a gun and 1000 miles away were created by Scott.

Man I bet our group was the best! since we did whole different genre of songs,
Jazz, Pop, R&B, Rock, Hip-hop!

I must admit that having playing and practicing with guys who can actually play instrument and actually sing..
it was surprising. Since I am a DJ. I don't really get a chance to play with other people. All I do is play and mix.

I must admit that playing with people are way better than playing the track and mix. And I must say that it's more difficult as well. Like Scott is a soft rock dude, Luma and Abby are more soft R&B girls, Daniel is flexible, Talini is R&B dude. And I am all about Hip-hop.

In May, ( NZ music Month) we performed in Henderson city library.
Man I loved that performance!
we were bit nervous and stuff, but it went great! therefore we were confidant and ready to play at zeal!
Oh we got $50 from that performance.. we are thinking of giving it to charity.

Our tutor was Chris, I would like to say thank you. He helped us become a team, and he also helped us structure the songs. Man that's like something i was waiting for... structuring the song and controlling the team...wow Great!

Performance in Zeal went okay, but i guess you have good day and bad day. kk I don't mind.
Next time, will be better!
